Another installment of “Top Shot Tree Service”.
In this video we get to test out a full auto AK47 against two sweet gum trees.
Ammunition
As fun as this was, it did have a purpose. American Marksman sent me a shipment of their newly acquired 7.62x39mm ammunition from Arsenal. I’d say it passed the test with flying colors. Not a single malfunction in the 300+ rounds fired. But that rifle got HOT!
loader
That was the Podavach U-LOADER that actually loads both AK and AR15 magazines as well as Scar-L (Mk16), Ruger Mini, etc.), MSR15, AK (AK47, AK74, AKS, AKM, etc.), IWI Galil ACE, SU-16.
They also have AR10, Styer AUG, and SKS versions.
Aftermath
After recovering a few fired rounds inside the second tree, we discovered the bullets flattened a bit. This flattening squeezed out anywhere between 7-21 grains of lead. Recovered weight of the bullets was 101-114 grains.
