Four Hour basic handgun course hosted at 4H Shooting complex outside of Jasper, TX
Catered to beginner students starting off with little to no experience.
Instructors Jack Stephenson (Veteran Marine and regional Law Enforcement instructor) and Dustin Ellermann (winner of Top Shot S3)
Lesson Content:
- Firearm Safety
- Chapter 9 Texas Penal Code
- Basic handgun components and maintenance
- Proper loading, grip, aiming, trigger manipulation, and malfunction clearing
- Machine Gun Experience optional after lessons (MP5, Uzi, M4 9mm, Tommy Gun; extra fee per magazine, bring cash)
Requirements:
- Complete waiver form on sight
- Bring handgun (9mm handgun rental available for $20)
- Bring 100 rounds of ammunition
- Bring eye and ear protection
- Bring drinking water
- Be over 21 years old or accompanied by an adult if between 18-21; no minors.
- Must be legal to own/shoot a handgun (i.e. not a convicted felon)
